“Fly Neighborly Friendly”

To reduce our noise footprint over Afidnai and Polydendri, pilots follow only the published green approach and departure paths and avoid the red area. In summer, please avoid take-offs and landings between 15:00 and 17:00 local time.

Marshalled assistance

Permission is required for all manoeuvres, engine starts and rotor starts or stops. All inbound and outbound ground taxiing and hovering is carried out with marshalled assistance.

Embarkation & disembarkation

Only with the assistance of heliport ground crew. Aircrew ensure handlers are present before going airside with passengers, and brief arriving passengers to remain inside the aircraft until handlers escort them.

Rotors moving

Aircrew should not disembark or leave the aircraft unattended until the rotors have stopped turning.

Refuelling

All passengers in transit must disembark from the aircraft during refuelling operations.

Dangerous goods

Operators and pilots must advise Heliport Operations in advance of any dangerous goods to be carried on flights.

Flight plans

Filing the mandatory flight plan is the crew’s responsibility. Free WiFi and a fax machine are available at the heliport.

Noise abatement

Avoid approaching too early, passing close to the houses south of the heliport, and low manoeuvres over Afidnai village during approach or climb-out.
