In order to reduce the overall noise footprint and to alleviate the common causes of complaints and concerns from the local community of Afidnai and Polidendri (e.g. approaches carried out too early, passing too close to the houses south of the heliport, low manoeuvres in the approach or climb-out phase above Afidnai village). Athens Heliport operates a “Fly Neighborly Friendly” policy.
